🌟 Narnia Class Big Bang: Would you rather be a Spartan or an Athenian?

Narnia Class launched their new enquiry question, Would you rather be a Spartan or an Athenian?, with an exciting immersion into Ancient Greek life and culture.

🍇 Exploring Greek Flavours The children began the day by taste‑testing a selection of traditional Greek foods. This hands‑on experience helped them think about what daily life might have been like in Ancient Greece and encouraged them to try new flavours.

💃 Learning the Hasapiko They then took part in learning the Hasapiko, a traditional Greek dance. With music, rhythm and teamwork, the class brought this cultural tradition to life and enjoyed a lively introduction to Greek celebrations.

🏛️ Drawing Ionic Columns To complete the day, the children explored Greek architecture by learning how to draw an Ionic column, recognised by the elegant spirals, or volutes, at the top. This activity helped them understand why these architectural features remain iconic and influential today.
