🔥 What Made the Fire of London So Great? 🔥

Last term, Neverland explored our amazing capital city, London — discovering its landmarks, history and what makes it such a special place. This term, we have travelled back in time to 1666 to uncover the story of the Great Fire of London and find out what made it so “great”! What a busy morning the children had bringing history to life! The children became bakers just like in 1666, making (and tasting!) their own delicious bread. They carefully created houses from Pudding Lane, thinking about why the fire spread so quickly between the tightly packed wooden buildings.

It has been a fantastic and engaging start to the term. The children showed great teamwork, creativity and curiosity as they stepped back in time. We can’t wait to continue our journey into the past and discover even more about this important event in London’s history!
