π Hogwarts & Narnia Classes Explore Places of Worship π

Hogwarts and Narnia classes had an inspiring trip to Leicester, where they visited a mosque and a synagogue as part of their RE curriculum.
π At the mosque, pupils learned about the Five Pillars of Islam and the importance of faith in Muslim life. The Imam shared fascinating insights, including how the dome helps carry sound throughout the building. The children were captivated by the mosqueβs stunning interior β with its mirrors, crystals, and intricate geometric patterns. Albert summed it up beautifully, saying he enjoyed how βengaging and easy to listen toβ the Imam was.
β‘οΈ After lunch, the children explored a synagogue where two wonderful volunteers introduced them to Jewish beliefs and traditions. They were intrigued to learn about the 613 commandments and to see the sacred Torah scrolls written on parchment. Isla said she loved learning about the history of Judaism and was surprised at how old the religion is.Β
Weβre incredibly proud of how respectful and curious the children were throughout the day β both places of worship complimented their behaviour and thoughtful questions. They were fantastic ambassadors for our school! π
